Meet JC Carmichael

I’m Joi “JC” Carmichael, a REALTOR® and Associate Broker with Lawson Realty & Co. I believe real estate should feel less confusing and a whole lot more personal.

Whether you’re preparing to buy, ready to make a move, or trying to protect the home you already own, I want you to understand what’s happening, what your options are, and what makes sense for you.

As The Homeowner Advocate, I lead with education, honest guidance, and care. I’m not here to rush you into a decision. I’m here to help you understand the process and feel supported while you make one.

Why I Do This

I know how overwhelming real estate and homeownership can feel when you’re trying to make a major decision and you’re not sure what questions to ask or who to trust.

That’s a big part of why I do this the way I do. I want people to feel informed, not pressured. I want you to understand what’s happening, know what your options are, and feel like you have someone in your corner who will be honest with you—even when the answer isn’t the easiest one.

My approach is rooted in education, advocacy, service, and faith. For me, this work is about more than helping someone buy or sell a house. It’s about helping people make decisions they can feel good about long after the transaction is over.

What You Can Expect When Working With Me

You can expect honest communication, clear explanations, and someone who will take the time to make sure you understand what’s happening.

I’ll ask questions, listen to what matters to you, and help you think through your options without making you feel rushed. If something doesn’t make sense, we’ll talk about it. If there’s a concern, I’ll be upfront about it.

My goal is for you to feel like you have someone in your corner who is paying attention, looking out for your interests, and helping you make decisions that fit your situation—not someone just trying to get you to the closing table.

A Little More About Me

I’m a Christian, wife, mom, Air Force Veteran, homeschool mom, and an educator at heart. I’ve always been someone who wants people to understand what’s in front of them instead of feeling like they have to figure everything out on their own.

My faith is a big part of who I am and how I try to show up for people—with honesty, compassion, patience, and integrity.

Outside of real estate, a lot of my life centers around family, faith, learning, and serving. Those same things shape how I work with my clients too. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, confident speaking up when something doesn’t feel right, and supported throughout the process.
